I love San Marino Corned Tuna. It is a staple here at home. Whenever we feel like having rice but don't feel like cooking, that's what we have as viand.
Because of my fondness for that particular canned good, my well-meaning housemate bought a can of San Marino Tuna Embutido for us to try. We just finished dinner and I must say that tuna embutido is very inspirational. Even if I wasn't planning on posting any review today, I was deeply inspired to write one.
San Marino Tuna Embotido tastes like crap. It definitely does not look like the one pictured on the can's label. It is hard, very dry, very bland. Compared to normal fish embutido, it has no texture. See those red and yellow bits on the label? Not there in real life. The closest thing to color and texture are some pale bits of green peas. Paper embutido would have been a more suitable name. It does not even slide out of the can in one cylindrical mass.
It was a struggle to finish my share. At first I thought that it tasted awful because it needed to be heated or steamed before serving, but the label says "Ready to Eat, No Need to Fry". If you're going to insist on eating this thing, I suggest you steam it first to introduce some moisture and perhaps coax out some flavor.
I'm sorry San Marino Tuna Embutido but you earn my Cookie Monster Seal of Disapproval.
I actually dont like this canned good product. its chewy and too bland for my taste,.
