I don't know about you, but I love ube hopia. Our love affair started with Eng Bee Tin and has now graduated to two other brands: Nova Bake Shop and Mister Pullman.
Nova Bake Shop's ube hopia comes in a pack of six cube-shaped (diced) pieces. The whole package measures around 3-1/4" x 2-3/4".
The dough is thin and soft. The filling is smooth and tastes like pure ube (purple yam) goodness. It is a bit sticky, the kind that sticks to your palate and teeth a little, albeit in a pleasant way. After eating one dice after another, you tend to be a little overwhelmed by the sweetness so it's a good idea to have a glass of water ready to temper the sweetness.
Mister Pullman hopia ube, meanwhile, comes in a pack of four round pieces. The pack measures 4-1/2" x 2-1/4". Compared to Nova Bake Shop, its dough shell is a little thicker. The ube filling is also smooth but less sweet and not as sticky.
I love ube hopia top..nything with ube haha! My fave is eng bee tin and pollamd. Try tipas ube hopia too and the one from bakers hills in palawan.
