My Second Ensogo Refund Took Only Eight Days. Yes!

When I had a problem with my Mongkok voucher, Ensogo's refund took a mind-boggling 3-1/2 months, 6 email followups, and 4 or 5 posts on their Facebook page. So when Gandiva informed me that I had a problem with the voucher I bought from Ensogo, I thought ugh!

I emailed Ensogo on March 19 to request for a refund and an explanation as to what happened. My email was civil but a bit stern. The voucher in question was worth P300 but since we did not have the option of backing out of paying the regular price (P600) at Gandiva, I thought it would be fair to at least try asking Ensogo to refund me the regular price. Honestly, I was expecting them to just refund me P300.

After two days, I got a reply from Ensogo, saying that they had documented my concern and would be addressing it with the merchant.

March 27 around 3pm, I had not received any more info so I emailed again, asking for an update. The following day, Ensogo replied that my refund request had been approved and that I would receive my credits within two days.

I did not think about it until the end of the month. When April started, I remembered about it and when I checked my Ensogo account, I got P600 credits!

I got no explanation on how our voucher got mistakenly marked as Used, oh well, but at least I quickly got a full refund.

    1. for food and experience-related offers, sulit ang vouchers, so I can live with the occasional hassle. but for physical objects, 95% of the things I see being sold on group buying sites are not discounted at all - sometimes even more expensive in fact.

  2. In the middle part of this post, I was like, "Oh No!". Buti na lang, nakahinga din ako ng sinabi mong na-refund mo yung pera. Good thing talaga!

  3. There is still some imperfections in the electronic transactions. Good thing Ensogo is responsible enough to correct their mistakes..

  5. Well at least they were quite considerate and returned twice the amount that was due. That kinda makes up for the delay I guess.

  6. Good thing they refunded you the full amount.. but still, what if you didn't have the means to pay the full amount that day. But yes, it was an honest mistake on their part and nobody wanted it to happen. Happy to know everything went well :)

  12. you're missing a lot Marri, you should try them as soon as possible. =) I recommend my favorites are Deal Dozen, Deal Grocer and CashCashPinoy.. Ensogo's support seems to be getting worse lately so they're no longer in my favorites list. I had to post on their Facebook page for 3 weeks just to had my last issue with them fixed.

about the reason, yeah they're not fond of telling that to customers as well.. They didn't even email me to say that they already loaded the credits to my account..

    1. I haven't tried Deal Dozen. Their email updates are not configured properly, which makes me too lazy to visit the actual site itself.

As of now, my top 3 are Deal Grocer, CashCashPinoy, and Metrodeal. I have experienced good service with DG and CCP and while I haven't tested Metrodeal's customer service, I've never had any problems with their vouchers. Ensogo has nice offers but their service is "tsambahan".

    1. Wow that is such a hassle. Tsk tsk. I've seen similar complaints about items taking ages to be delivered. I hope you get your refund soon.

  14. you know whaT.. i've got nothing against ensogo.. but its one of those companies or businesses that ensogo supports or lets say promotes. i've been an employee of that company and all that they say every issuance of salary is it is ensogo's fault why we cant have our full salary.. imagine it became half.. and well ito pa , ako pa lumabas na msama nung umalis ako sa company.. di pa nia binigay sweldo ko .. ahahah so beware of that basement 8 something something coz it really ruined my senses.. i know their baho.. unlimited well they have tactics to limit the shots. sorry i just freak out! they are not professionals.

    1. That sucks! You can file a labor case against the company.

I've met a travel merchant who said some group buying sites have better policies than others when it comes to merchant payments, still it shouldn't be the employees' problem. Any loss the company incurs because of promotions should be treated as marketing expense and not a reason to stiff the employees.
